Whether your child is of school age, adolescent or adult, the challenges faced by parents of trans, non-binary, or gender-creative children are often very similar. We therefore invite you to come and join us in the discussion groups.
Whether you are in Abitibi, Gaspé or elsewhere in Quebec, join us!
We invite you to join the support group for discussions and information for parents of trans kids.

Other dates will be added as they are scheduled!
Who is the sex therapist in charge of the group?
Amélie Sauvé specializes in the psychosexual development of children and adolescents. Her interventions are based on rigorous knowledge, but above all on varied experiences.
In 2018, Amélie followed a specialized training program in transgender health, given by the Institute for the health of sexual minorities. In her interventions, she uses the informed consent approach and is based on version 7 of the standards of care for transgender people of WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health).
How does it work?
ZOOM meetings become a caring, non-judgmental space with other parents who are experiencing the same challenges as you.
We are here to demystify trans journeys, suggest resources and answer your questions.
You can come and simply listen to the experience of other parents. You are free to speak or not. There is no commitment.
Our goal: to support you in supporting your child
The animation is carried out by members of the board of directors of Trans Outaouais and its collaborating partners (sexologists, workers from trans organizations, trans health professionals) who follow the recommendations of version 8 of the standards of care for trans people from the WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health).
To attend the meetings, simply register once using the form below.
Meetings are held in French.
We look forward to meeting you and counting you among us!
